When President Barack Obama signed the Affordable Care Act (ACA/Obamacare) into law on March 23, 2010, two major changes took place: American citizens were single-handedly in charge of their own health care plans, and health insurance agents could not deny coverage to anyone.  

People across America found that instead of settling for whatever was available, affordable or acceptable, they had more choices; health care officials now could not say “no” to individuals and families.
